About Dina

Dina Vass is a dance, funk, house and jazz soul artist from North London. Known on the dance circuit for hits like ‘Don’t Wanna Lose You’, ‘The Love I Have For You’, ‘Waiting For You’, ’Now I’m Free’ and ‘Let You Get Away’, Dina’s original singles and mixes have been played worldwide. Her upcoming singles, ‘Give You My Love’ and ‘Beach Party’, will drop in 2021.

Currently based in Essex, Dina Vass is a creative powerhouse who writes, records, produces and engineers her own work. Whether the soulful diva is belting meaningful, mesmerising vocals that transport you to a faraway hypnotic ether or helping manage fellow artists and producers under her independent development label, Dina does it all - and she’s showing no signs of slowing down.

Having toured for over two decades - performing on international platforms including MTV Romania (2004), alongside acts like Kevin Little and Scooter, and playing at local venues like Brixton Electric - and worked with established artists like Full Intention, Barbara Tucker and Hoxton Whores, Dina’s spirit and artistry have carved out a lasting legacy in the UK dance scene. Now signed to CMWS Music, she’s set to make a major impact with her unique funky house sound, with a queue of soft ballads, US garage tracks and hard house mixes ready for release.

Dina first got obsessed by the record collections of her older brother and sister at the tender age of 3. “My brother used to DJ when I was really young,” Dina explains. “He listened to all sorts - imported disco, underground dance, jazz, acid jazz, soul and funk. I was influenced by artists like Prince, Earth, Wind and Fire, George Benson, Bob Marley, Tom Brown, Grover Washington, Odyssey and Funkadelic. I used to soak it all up and dance around like mad. I still do!”

Music quickly became Dina’s world. When her parents brought home a double keyboard organ one day, she taught herself to play the keys. Soon, she began composing - melodic ideas blossomed in her mind and she instinctively learned to work out the chords, then sing the lyrics too. She wrote her first song at 10 years old. Five years later, when her home environment got too chaotic to bear, the young artist escaped, determined on her mission to break into the music industry on her own terms. Since then, she’s done it all - studio running, choreographing, podium dancing, performing at clubs and self-managing - and Dina has been blazing her own independent music trail ever since.

Keep an eye out for her next hits, ‘Give You My Love’ and ‘Beach Party’, dropping soon. Follow Dina Vass for new music and updates.

RWD Mag

Dina Vass is one of the most mysterious women in house music. Her single ‘The Love I Have For You’ is the hugest funky house track that was never released. But after almost completely disappearing from the radar, she’s returned with a follow up that could be even bigger. RWD went for waffles with one of the UK’s most unsung but immeasurably talented divas, and found out why she’s remained so elusive… "
